Bhutan scouting trip continued: Bhutan is truly a fascinating and photogenic place, but finding an internet connection with sufficient capacity to upload images to the blog has been a bit of a challenge, especially after leaving the capital city of Thimphu. So, I’ll just post these 20 new images and I’ll try to blog again when a fast internet connection is available. Cheers, Karl

Amazing! The main thing I like about your pictures that all pictures have same detail and sound color scheme and the angle from where you takes the pictures. Really appreciate!

Ooooh! Karl, these gorgeous photos of yours bring back so many good memories of my trip there in ’06 but alas! I was on a birdwatching tour and not photography. Bhutan truly is one amazing country.

Bhutan is such a facinating country with beautiful people. I was ther less than a year ago and recognize the temples. Ilove the old man with his prayer wheel and prayer beads.
Howeever, the mist behind the beautiful tree and road remind me of the Philippines.
I hope you trekked the Tiger’s Nest to the top. It is a REAL challenge even with the
pony-horse “thing” part ways up but the satifaction of knowing that you have readhed the top gives you a feeling that someone on tope should give you a gold metal. What Fun!!!
    Great photos as usual!

Wow, Robbie, you made it all the way to the top of the Tiger’s Nest? I must confess that I didn’t. In retrospect, I should have known, that of all the people in the world, you’re the one who did make it up there…..Robbie, you never cease to amaze and inspire me. You do deserve a gold medal for that one. Bravo young lady!….how about in lieu of a gold medal, I buy you a “golden pilsner” on our next trip together? Cheers, Karl

Great photos! The label on the beer bottle amused me- I am Danish, and “druk” in Danish means “heavy drinking”. It is a colloquial term usually used when for instance scolding someone for being out all night drinking.

thank you for the beautiful fotos.
I always dream of going to Bhutan.
I live in Australia, often in the subtropical rainforest.

    nice fotos as well.

I loved your images of Bhutan. I went last October and your photos brought back so many wonderful memories of the welcoming people there. The colors everywhere make for magnificent photos. (Remember, I suggested that you should go there along with Nepal?) It had been my dream for many years to be there. I also got to the top of Tiger’s Nest and got some great images. Maybe you can do it when you take your group there? If two older women like Robbie and I can do it, surely you can too! Of course, I took the horse partway up. Harry couldn’t make it because he refused the horse ride and got too tired. Keep posting images!
