Yesterday we shot the Jaipur railway station. Train stations in India are always great places for photography, offering up an eclectic mix of photographic possibilities. Photographing at railway stations is getting a bit tougher now than it has been in the past, due to increased security concerns, but usually all you have to due is buy a “platform ticket” for 4 Rupees to gain access to the platforms. Once inside, police and security people rarely hassle you, as they think you’re a tourist with a camera, waiting for your train.
As I write this post I am riding on a train from Delhi to Haridwar, for the extension of our main photo tour. This is the fist time I’ve ever blogged from a train! Using a 3G modem, I’m able to update the blog while looking out the widow on the way to Haridwar…isn’t technology amazing (when it works).
These are wonderful images Karl :))
Just returned home from the main trip and have enjoyed re-living it through your wonderful photos and blog. The memories are fresh and will inspire us to sort though our own images to share the story of India with family and friends. We were sorry to not be able to stay for the extension. Say hi to the group and DV for us.
We enjoyed traveling with you and the knowledge and experience gained with our photography skills will be helpful for years to come. I am sure you and Jim will see us again on future trips. Thank you.

Dear Barb and Dean,
I’m glad you guys made it home…it must have been a long, difficult trip back home 🙁
We’re missing you guys so much, and DV and I keep counting heads and wondering where the “other two” are. It was a pleasure to travel with you both and I hope we get the opportunity to do it all again. Meanwhile, watch your ISO and your white balance! Cheers, Karl
