For the new year, I’m going to be introducing a new feature on my blog called: “Come Along For The Ride”.

“Come Along For The Ride” will be a series of video journals shot on location, in which I’ll not only be describing my work, but also providing insights into what I do, and why I do it. I guess you could say that it’s going to be like a mini Angkor Photo Workshop. So, if you’ve ever wanted to shoot for an NGO, or you’re thinking of coming to my workshop July 2012, or if you just want to become a better “visual story teller”, then don’t miss the first installment of: Come Along For The Ride.

In early January, 2012 the first installment of Come Along For The Ride will take you on location to Siem Reap, Cambodia and give you an over-the-shoulder view of my recent two-day NGO assignment with Angkor Hospital For Children. AHC has been a client of mine for more than 10 years, so when I asked them if  I could bring along, friend and fellow photographer Scot Sargeant, in order to document me, documenting them, AHC said “Sure, as long as we get a copy of the video, too!”

So, put a reminder in your iCal, iPhone, or smartphone, or a sticky note on your refrigerator to remind you to keep checking back here to see what all the excitement is going to be about.

Meanwhile, if you are interested in finding out more about Angkor Hospital For Children, the subject matter for the first “Come Along For The Ride” video, see this article that I shot for Town and Country Magazine by clicking here.

And now, have a look below at my lighthearted,  “Come Along For The Ride”  HD trailer…..and oh, by the way, don’t forget to turn up the volume on your speakers!

Wow! I don’t usually comment on blogs, but I think you have a really good idea with this. Thank you for all your work and showing us that may be a little more ‘fortunate’ what the world really looks like. I look forward to more and will probably share this with my sons so they can see a bit of the world before they get too many other impressions! Safe Travels.
