Sorry for the long absence of blog posts. I’ve been totally and completely swamped, without a spare moment to do any blogging and with Myanmar’s slow internet connections, one needs more than a “moment” to accomplish a blog post, especially one rich with images! So, finally, as I sit here at 5:00am in the comfort of my over-water bungalow at Inle Lake, on the 11th day of this year’s Amazing Myanmar photo tour I’m going to get some photos uploaded so that you can see what this photo tour is all about.

The always inspiring Darrell Milbourne, a Tasmania based intrepid explorer/photographer and five-time Jim Cline Photo Tour participant, works his shot. Darrell celebrated his birthday during this trip, he’s 79 years young. Happy birthday Darrell!

If you’re thinking about taking this trip you’ll need to sign up early, as it always sells out. Demand has been so brisk that we now offer this trip twice a year, once in February and another time in September. Here’s a link where you can find out more about the trip, and add yourself on the interest list for 2013. Click here

    Hi Karl,
I was glad see your note on fb about your recent travels.
I just took a look at your most recent photos here, and I must say that your use of directional ambient light to set the mood is awesome! I too have been using flash less and less, even for weddings, and I think that you are partly to blame for that 🙂

Hope you and Carrie are both doing great!

Karl, your photography is absolutely beautiful. The colours, the textures, the humanity and its delicate nature. Ken Rockwell mentioned your work on his site and I’m glad he did. Keep up the stunning work!
