The 2013 Amazing Myanmar tour is off to a great start, but now, into our ninth day, this is the first opportunity I’ve had to post images. The internet has been slower than ever before. Perhaps it is due to the fact that changes in Myanmar are happening so fast. Never before have I seen a country “charging forward” on so many fronts. There are new cars plying the streets of Yangon, new hotels, restaurants and construction going on everywhere! More and more people are using cell phones and accessing internet, and I guess that’s what is slowing the existing digital infrastructure to a snails pace. The internet connections have been so slow that I have been unable to even check email! So, given this opportunity, I am going to post as many images as I can, starting with our first two days. Below are images from Yangon and Bago. Enjoy.
Its’ about time! Beautiful images, karl. #5 is gorgeous!
Been longing to see these, Karl, and it was certainly worth the wait! Beautiful work.
The sunglasses shot is a killer! Nice to see your images again.
Karl, these shots are so wonderful. I especially love the vertical one of the monk sleeping below the painted mural. Makes me want to do Myanmar all over again.
Appreciate your persistence, Karl. Some lovely images here. Love the subtle light off of natural surfaces, and you always capture that well.
Extremely nice captured! I was waiting for few months and thinking when will you update your new pictures? Finally worth it!
Liked 25th, 24th and 6th one!
One question when you shoot from wide angle lens do you use any ratio to crop them?
Thanks! Paurav
Thanks for your comment Paurav. As for your question about cropping….I rarely crop anything in post production because I try to get it “right in the camera”. When I do need to crop, I always use the same ratio as the original image. I hope that’s helpful to you. Cheers, Karl
What a lush set – love ’em! That sunglasses shot is a killer!! Congratulations.
Beautiful images, Karl. So nice to see.
Erin, Lisa, Barbara, Karen, Patsy, Bob and Ursula…thanks so much for following the blog and for your nice comments and compliments! Much appreciated. Cheers, Karl
I love them!! Great job as usual. Hope to see you soon some time on the road!
Amazing shots! Really cool the guy with Shwedagon pagoda reflected in his sunglasses!
Stunning images again, Karl! The light in some of these images is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Myanmar-Sept_2013-6 is my favourite. Greetings from Chengdu, China.
