O ur group left Pushkar with empty batteries and full memory cards after an amazing two days of living “in-tents” and doing some “intense” shooting . I had a few left over images from the day before we arrived to Pushkar fair and a few images from the day after, so thought I’d slap together a quick blog post for your entertainment. Additionally, I’m including a “just for fun” movie trailer, made during our bus ride to Agra. The trailer was created using video footage that I’ve shot during the trip, thus far.
Tomorrow we’re up extra early to shoot the Taj Mahal at sunrise, then a shoot at Agra fort, before heading back to Delhi. Tonight will be our farewell dinner for those who must depart. Tomorrow, those on the optional extension to Haridwar and Amritsar will continue the adventure, so please stay tuned to the blog. Cheers, Karl

DV is looking like quite the “Hollywood” guy! He”ll be in the movies next. Great picture of him. Also, I am so glad to see the cameraman sill on the street doing his photography. Your pictures are as compelling and beautiful as usual. The ladies with the sunlight coming through their saris is gorgeous! My picture taken by the street cameraman is by my computer so I relive the “memorable moment” all the time.
Karl, in spite of all the great color, the potter is my favorite in this series. You are bringing back so many neat memories. It makes me want to pull on my shoes and join you. Oh, yes, I left my shoes behind in India.(they held memories of many camels and back streets). Hi to D.V. Bunkie (and Bob)
Karl I too love the potters hands. I recognize a number of faces. The school kids are getting bigger. DV has a few extra pounds in his face. Safe travels.
So many captivating images in this set. I also love the potter’s hands – you have captured as much emotion in that shot as you typically do in your environmental portraits. Beautiful. And the video is really well done!!
