Today, the air was fresh and crisp, as were the spirits of many of the residents that I would meet. A palpable feeling of resolve and determination had replaced the bleak, surreal fog of the day before. Already, there seemed to be no doubt that the residents of Scripps Ranch were going to pull together and emerge stronger and more unified than ever before.
