I had been waiting perhaps 20 or 30 minutes for the light to come up
over the rooftops behind me. Then it happened. For a moment I felt like Diego
Rivera, but my canvas was a piece of film and my brush the early morning sunlight
illuminating the scene unfolding before me. I shot six frames, then, just as
quickly as she had materialized, she vanished.
