T his year’s Amazing Myanmar Photo Tour has been a wonderful journey with 10 fabulously energetic, enthusiastic and passionate photographers. It has truly been an “amazing” two weeks of photography and camaraderie. We’ve now returned to Yangon for our farewell dinner. Earlier today we did a photo shoot on Yangon’s famous “circle line” or “ring train” (which I blogged about a few weeks ago, including a short multimedia presentation).

I still have at least one more blog post coming with additional images from this year’s trip, but with a few moments to spare before dinner, I wanted to share 26 new images from the past few days. They are a spattering from Mandalay, Bagan and Inle Lake.

J.C.  shares a sunrise shot in Bagan with M.M., our fantastic, local tour guide.
Margaret works her magic, composing a sunrise shot from atop a temple in Bagan, with her 70-200.

Love them, remind me my trip. I love this street in Mandalay (if you took them there) with all the white marble buddha 🙂 Thanks for sharing

Loved your pictures. Myanmar is one of my favorite places to photograph. The sky at Inle Lake cooperated with some beautiful clouds that really made the pictures of the leg rower pop. I got similar pictures but with a flat sky. I really want to go back but there are so many other places I need to get to first. Hope to travel with you again in the near future. Need some info on your camera belt set up. Can you order the belt plus the camera plates only? I don’t like having two camera pouches hanging from my waist or going through security with them. I have a nice compact pack that works fine. Thanks for any help you can give me.

These images are absolutely stunning, Karl – some of the best I have seen for a long, long time. They are all wonderful, but if I had to choose one single image, it would be number 3, with the young monk running past the columns towards the camera – perfection in light, composition and gesture. Thanks for sharing these!

    Best wishes

    Ian

All of the images are spectacular, but the pictures of the leg rower are crazy beautiful…the silhouette against that magnificent brilliantly colored sky and water reflection is a sight to behold! Beyond words….

These are great Karl! I love the lighting on Inle lake. Makes me miss our trip last February to Myanmar.
