Our second day at the Kumbh revolved around getting oriented to where things were located and what was happening at each location. We concentrated on getting to know several of the best areas and times for photographing the bathing rituals. The Kumbh encompasses a vast area but we’re getting our bearings. It’s going to take every single day and every single hour of our week here to capture this incredible event and all of its components.

Okay, these are simply amazing..what else can I say?
Stunning images, uplifting, but depressing at the same time as I am not there. Will continue to experience the magic through your eyes.
Love them all, Karl, and particularly those of the pilgrims in the river (the fourth, eighth and ninth in the series). The expression of the big fellow in the 8th image is priceless!
And I see you’re right there in the water with everyone (as you were at Gadisar Lake!)
