T his set of images begins with our spectacular sunrise above the clouds at the world’s highest organic tea Plantation near the town of Munnar. The ride to the top was a solid two hour, bone-jarring jeep ride that began at 4:00am. When we finally arrived at the top, to witness the sun coming up, the group unanimously agreed that it was worth every bruise.

After sunrise, we spent time learning about and photographing tea harvesting and processing techniques, then headed down the mountain to Madaurai where we spent about an hour and a half photographing the local banana market.

Hal, always smiling!
