Throughout the day
Sok, Sopat and Kosal push their "finds" up a long winding hill towards
the recycling center where the scraps are sold for profit. Some days,
when the moon is full, they work well into the evening, "its cooler
and the flies aren't as bad" says Sopat". Sok comments that the bulldozers
stop at sunset, making it safer to work.
There have been no less than ten documented
cases of children being buried alive under the rubbish by a dump truck
dropping its load.
