Domingo Rico, a
tobacco farmer, lives in a small house just outside the charming colonial
town of Vinales on land which has been in his family for centuries.
His expertise in tobacco production is the result of age-old techniques
handed down from generation to generation. Domingo and his son work
long hard days which begin before sunrise. In the late afternoon Doming
gets a little rest and relaxation, often rolling himself a "Puro" or
"criollo" (pure tobacco leaves) and savoring the result of his handiwork.
