There are about 32 brands of Cuban cigars on the market today each represented by a marquilla or label which is placed on the cigar and on the box to identify the brand. While many Cuban cigars are exported, others are enjoyed by residents of the island. Eighty year old Senor Everindo Alfonzo, AKA "Dandy", a lifelong resident of Havana, enjoys a fine cigar while sitting in front of Havana Vieja's historic Catedral de San Cristobal.
