During Haiti's recent political upheaval, resulting in the ouster of President Jean Bertrand Aristide, girls sought refuge in the home staying inside for weeks, to avoid the violence which was all around them. Finally on March 15th, Brother Vistal was able to get an email out to Amber Walsh of Haitian Ministries, one of the organizations supporting his work…. "Thanks to God on our side, we were not touched by the recent events that had taken place in the country. But the institutions that used to bring us food could not deliver anything to us. We almost had nothing left at the house for the children to eat. That's why we have bought and stored some food until those institutions can start to work again….we are still under God's wings."
